The many uses and owners
Paxton Lodge, named after Elmer E. Paxton, has had a long and colorful life. Nestled among the
trees in the secluded Feather River Canyon,
it has changed owners and uses numerous times.
From it’s days as a luxury hotel for visiting Western Pacific train riders to it’s time as a recording studio for musicians such as Jackson Browne, to it’s current venue as a bed and breakfast, the lodge has always had an unparalleled status in Plumas County.
